BIRD HUNTING!

Have you ever seen a cat hunting a bird? I don’t know anybody else but yes, I experienced that few days ago when I was walking on 32nd Street right after 30th Ave.

I see that cat all the time around there… He was in the parking lot obviously and I saw him jumping on the poor bird on the side walk, catching him with his mouth and running away inside of the parking lot again.

I was very scared, excited and wondered in the meantime about the next step of the scene. I just waited there watching but helpless!

The bird was breathless but the cat was happy! First, the cat did run under one of the cars… I was still there waiting and hoping to see the bird flying again… Few minutes later I saw the cat coming out under the car still with the bird in his mouth. He did stop right there, turned towards me and did not know what to do! He was not happy to see me, he was anxious… He did not move for a while and at that very moment the bird made a very desperate, painful, suffering noise and freed from the mouth of cat! I was sooo happy to see the bird flying, but obviously the cat wasn’t.. He run a little bit after the bird but it was already on the tree with a lot of pain! The cat turned back to me like saying “I lost my lunch because of you”…!

I am happy that I was happening to pass by from there that moment!
